Trip with Korean Brand Communicator in Dynamic Busan

Three days and two night  Busan Familiarization Tour

I had a great times and unforgettable memorable in Busan city with  Korea Brand Communicator  and World Students in Korea by The Presidential Council on Nation Branding  and which was sponsored by the Busan Metropolitan City during three days and two days.

(Our team for NURIMARU & BEXCO TOUR)

As we all knowing  from Wiki that Busan (Officially Busan Metropolitan City), formerly spelled Pusan (Korean pronunciation: BUSAN is South Korea's second largest metropolis after Seoul, with a population of around 3.6 million. The Metropolitan area (includes adjacent cities of Gimhae and Yangsan) population is 4,399,515 as of 2010. It is the largest port city in South Korea and the world's fifth busiest seaports by cargo tonnage. The city is located on the southeasternmost tip of the Korean peninsula. The most densely built up areas of the city are situated in a number of narrow valleys between the Nakdong River and Suyeong River, with mountains separating some of the districts. Administratively, it is designated as a Metropolitan City. The Busan metropolitan area is divided into 15 major administrative districts and a single county.
Busan was the host city of the 2002 Asian Games and APEC 2005 Korea. It was also one of the host cities for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and is a center for international conventions in Korea. On November 14, 2005, the city officially announced its bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics Games. After Pyeongchang's successful bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics, the city is considering its bid to host the 2024 or 2028 Summer Olympics.
Busan is home to the world's largest Department Store, the Shinsegae Centum City.

Since the Busan is trying to branding their city or more likely promoting trhoughout SNS consist of Facebook, me2day, blog-spot, twitter, ect. We're as a Korean  Brand Communicator and power blog in Korea we got our missions for this trip specially in Dynamic  city of Busan.

Each team had Three members doing the tour each team were in charge of one theme for reporting or making contents (1~10 Teams) and  last mission we were making contents as a  group.

Otherwise my team were in charge of ;

  1. NURIMARU
  2. BEXCO(Busan Exhibition and Convention Center).

I-  The name NURIMARU APEC HOUSE is the combination of purely Korean words "Nuri" meaning the world and "Maru" meaning summit. and APEC HOUSE meaning the conference hall for the APEC ,which represents another silvery islet modeled on the islet Dongbaekseom which enables world leaders to positively materialise the ideologies of the APEC ,the open-door policy and cooperation.

[Concept of Nurimaru APEC House]

The design concept was based on the idea that world leaders are brought together to another silvery island that looks like Dongbaek Island to embody the spirit of openness and cooperation, the guiding spirit of APEC.
  • It is a modern style building with traditional Korean "arbor" style adopted for the overall shape of the building.
  • The shape of the roof is a representation of the curves of Dongbaek Island.
  • The 12 inclined columns on the outside of the building represent Dynamic Busan.
  • Korea's creative traditional culture is visualized in its interior design.

( 12 symbols of longevity inlaid with mother of pearl at the entrance of 3rd floor )

                                      무병장수를 상징하는 12가지 그림

This masterpiece of lacquer work inlaid with mother-of-pearl was created by Kim Gyu-Jang, a master craftsman of Korea. The work (size: 6 meters by 2.2 meters) shows 12 symbols of longevity; the sun, cloud, mountain, rock, water, crane, deer, turtle, pine tree, herb of eternal youth, bamboo, and mythical peach.

Thank you City of Busan/Busan Metropolitan City for welcoming Korea's Brand Communicators
