Proud myself as a Timorese. Proud of my country, my leaders and proud of my people. 37 years ago my country unilaterally
declared its independence.
Take more than 24 years fo Timorese to have the rights for self  determination recognised and respect by international community. It is an experience not

to be forgotten and its a lesson to be carry by every Timorese
that ' the freedom of our beloved country was not granted to us
but was
earned. Lets continue work hard to free ourselves from
poverty for its only us
that can free ourselves.

Taxing Times in East Timor

Timor-Leste, or East Timor, is one of the smallest and poorest countries in Asia. Its only economic hope for the future lies in massive reserves of oil and gas in the Timor Sea. Having fought a bitter battle with Australia over seabed borders and mineral rights it's now taking on some of the world's biggest private energy companies, demanding they pay their fair share of tax on the resources they're extracting.
Four Corners' reporter Andrew Fowler travels to Timor-Leste to detail a no holds barred struggle that involves billions of dollars and the promise of investment and jobs from energy processing. Will Australia's smallest northern neighbour triumph in this battle or will the corporations win out?
"Around the world, multinational companies always fight for their interests and they fight tooth and nail, it's their job, they have shareholders ... we expect the fight to get even harder, because we're talking about a lot of money, but what's changed here is that Timor is fighting back." Advisor to Timor-Leste Government
Timor-Leste's first task is to cut a deal with energy giant Woodside that would see a pipeline and a gas processing plant built on the country's southern shore. If that happens it would mean development, investment, construction and processing jobs, plus more money in taxes. There is a catch though. The company is playing hardball while the government claims the negotiations have involved bullying and double dealing.

As Four Corners discovered, the immediate battle is to audit the energy companies that the government claims are not paying their share of taxes. The centre of this struggle can be found in an office building where a small group of public servants have been meticulously going through contracts and tax returns. This is a contest the country's leaders say they cannot afford to lose, because if they do they will consign an entire country to poverty.
"...all the babies that were born after the Indonesian occupation in 1999 are going to be looking for jobs ... if there's no economy that they can work in, it's going to be a huge drain on society." Charlie Scheiner, NGO Analyst of Government Finance
But it will not just be a drain on Timor-Leste. Australia too cannot afford a failed state on its northern border. Timor-Leste's battle with the corporations is a contest that every country in the region is watching with concern.
"Taxing Times in Timor", reported by Andrew Fowler and presented by Kerry O'Brien, goes to air on Monday 1st October at 8.30 pm on ABC 1. It is replayed on Tuesday 2nd October at 11.35 pm. It can also be seen Saturday at 8.00 pm on ABC News 24ABC iview and at abc.net.au/4corners.

ISN'T IT AMAZING?

While waiting for the subway or metro, you can easily shop all your items on the subway station. Its so surprising as Korea opens the first virtual shooping store with LCD display, on Seoul subway station.
The walls of the Seonreung subway station in downtown Seoul have the virtual displays of over 500 of the most popular products with barcodes which customers can scan using the Homeplus app on their smartphones and get delivered right to their doorstep.
Best part is you just need to scan the bar codes, if the orders are placed before 1pm at noon the items will already be delivered at their home when they reach home. It surely gives speed and convenience for the shopping.

Trip with Korean Brand Communicator in Dynamic Busan

Three days and two night  Busan Familiarization Tour

I had a great times and unforgettable memorable in Busan city with  Korea Brand Communicator  and World Students in Korea by The Presidential Council on Nation Branding  and which was sponsored by the Busan Metropolitan City during three days and two days.

(Our team for NURIMARU & BEXCO TOUR)

As we all knowing  from Wiki that Busan (Officially Busan Metropolitan City), formerly spelled Pusan (Korean pronunciation: BUSAN is South Korea's second largest metropolis after Seoul, with a population of around 3.6 million. The Metropolitan area (includes adjacent cities of Gimhae and Yangsan) population is 4,399,515 as of 2010. It is the largest port city in South Korea and the world's fifth busiest seaports by cargo tonnage. The city is located on the southeasternmost tip of the Korean peninsula. The most densely built up areas of the city are situated in a number of narrow valleys between the Nakdong River and Suyeong River, with mountains separating some of the districts. Administratively, it is designated as a Metropolitan City. The Busan metropolitan area is divided into 15 major administrative districts and a single county.
Busan was the host city of the 2002 Asian Games and APEC 2005 Korea. It was also one of the host cities for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and is a center for international conventions in Korea. On November 14, 2005, the city officially announced its bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics Games. After Pyeongchang's successful bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics, the city is considering its bid to host the 2024 or 2028 Summer Olympics.
Busan is home to the world's largest Department Store, the Shinsegae Centum City.

Since the Busan is trying to branding their city or more likely promoting trhoughout SNS consist of Facebook, me2day, blog-spot, twitter, ect. We're as a Korean  Brand Communicator and power blog in Korea we got our missions for this trip specially in Dynamic  city of Busan.

Each team had Three members doing the tour each team were in charge of one theme for reporting or making contents (1~10 Teams) and  last mission we were making contents as a  group.

Otherwise my team were in charge of ;

  1. NURIMARU
  2. BEXCO(Busan Exhibition and Convention Center).

I-  The name NURIMARU APEC HOUSE is the combination of purely Korean words "Nuri" meaning the world and "Maru" meaning summit. and APEC HOUSE meaning the conference hall for the APEC ,which represents another silvery islet modeled on the islet Dongbaekseom which enables world leaders to positively materialise the ideologies of the APEC ,the open-door policy and cooperation.

[Concept of Nurimaru APEC House]

The design concept was based on the idea that world leaders are brought together to another silvery island that looks like Dongbaek Island to embody the spirit of openness and cooperation, the guiding spirit of APEC.
  • It is a modern style building with traditional Korean "arbor" style adopted for the overall shape of the building.
  • The shape of the roof is a representation of the curves of Dongbaek Island.
  • The 12 inclined columns on the outside of the building represent Dynamic Busan.
  • Korea's creative traditional culture is visualized in its interior design.

( 12 symbols of longevity inlaid with mother of pearl at the entrance of 3rd floor )

                                      무병장수를 상징하는 12가지 그림

This masterpiece of lacquer work inlaid with mother-of-pearl was created by Kim Gyu-Jang, a master craftsman of Korea. The work (size: 6 meters by 2.2 meters) shows 12 symbols of longevity; the sun, cloud, mountain, rock, water, crane, deer, turtle, pine tree, herb of eternal youth, bamboo, and mythical peach.

Thank you City of Busan/Busan Metropolitan City for welcoming Korea's Brand Communicators

and World Students in Korea to explore your beautiful city, This was truly an unforgettable

experience seeing, doing, and eating all things in  Dynamic Busan!  and specially I had
